Cybersecurity research programme
The cybersecurity research consortium Flanders is responsible for implementing the programme, drawing on the expertise of 200+ researchers. The partners are:
For the practical implementation, a road map is being prepared for each of these four lines of research.
Software and application security
The research into software and application security supports the analysis, development and implementation of software applications. The goal is to make advanced technologies and methods available for secure software development in a constantly evolving technological landscape.
Strategic security services
Strategic security services, such as authentication, authorisation and data protection, must continually evolve to meet changing security requirements. Cybersecurity research results form the basis for the development of innovative and robust security services. This also includes the legal aspects.
System and infrastructure security
Software and service developers rely on the robustness and security of underlying systems and infrastructures. The security of these fundamental layers is the topic of the research project on system and infrastructure security.
Building blocks for security and secure hardware
Secure hardware and cryptography constitute the technological building blocks for security solutions. This research combines theoretical insights and mathematical models with practical implementations and evaluations in both hardware and embedded software.
